Welcome to Vermont Sports Medicine Center! |
|
All of our five locations have convenient hours of operation Monday through Friday to accomodate your needs. You may call any of our locations for an appointment. |
Your first appointment Your Doctor has recommended Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy and there are a few things you should know prior to your first appointment. Please be sure you have an up-to-date referral from your doctor with you or have confirmed your doctor has sent it to VSMC prior to your arrival. This is necessary for us to perform the initial visit. Although we try to assist you in determining your coverage with your insurance plan, it is always wise to call your insurance company yourself prior to your visit to determine what coverage you have for Physical Therapy and Occupational services. Vermont Sports Medicine Center is a participating provider with most major insurance plans; please check with our front desk when you make your appointment. If you are covered by a Managed Care Plan, it is important that you check with your primary care physician to make sure they have sent us the managed care referral. This is sometimes separate from the Physician Referral and it is always wise to make sure you have both in place. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled appointment time to allow us time to process your paperwork. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that will allow your injured body part to be exposed and evaluated by your therapist. Please plan on spending 1 to 1-1/2 hours on your first appointment. This allows the therapist to spend the time evaluating you and establishing a treatment plan that will allow you to attain your goals. If you have any questions prior to your visit, please call us and we will be happy to assist you! We look forward to seeing you. |
