What is a Pre-Placement Exam? A pre-placement exam is essentially a Job Specific Functional Capacity Evaluation. (See FCE) The functional component of the test is performed at Vermont Sports Medicine Center. Testing is performed to determine if the individual is physically capable of performing the physical requirements of the job for which they have applied. The pre-placement exam is performed at the request of the employer. Testing will take approximately one hour. Results are available immediately and are to be taken to the Medical Practitioner who will complete the pre- employment physical. The employer will make the ultimate decision as to if the applicant is appropriate to hire under consideration of the physical exam and functional test results. |
